Default Hawkeye clutch ??

Looking to remove (2) roller weights from my Dad's 06 Hawkeye. I looked at the video's and am wondering what the "T" Tool is for? Can anybody here clarify?

It should be in your tool kit. it is used to hold the clutch together during removal and reinstallation. It is a t shaped handle with threads on the bottom. There is a threaded hole in the clutch for it.

you can use it or not use it , its only use is holding the clutch together while you are Pulling it off or reinstalling it, I at first just pulled the cover off by prying it off, then figured out you can use the t tool and nothing will fall out on the floor and roll off. oh and you need to use Loctite on that clutch nut when you tighten it back.

That is what I was thinking, could not figure out why you need to hold the clutch together to remove the cover. From all the positive results posted so far I am going to remove 2 weights for my old man.

It holds the clutch together while removing and reinstalling the clutch, not the cover. It holds the clutch together so the rollers don't fall out.

I would like to see some try pulling the clutch cover off with the t-tool Installed or Putting it back on as far as that goes, boy that would make a heck of racket when you started it, really you dont even need the t-tool cause the rollers will probally stay in place, You will have to pry of the roller cover ! and the t-tool will help you if your having to tighten the nut by hand.
