just wondering what there like? are they dependble? how good they hill climb and how they do in the sand I thinking about about getting a polaris rzr but Im just checking out other atvs and utvs. just having a hard time making up mind.
nothing really wrong with sportsman 500HO it just showing age and wear.
Its just feeling like it time to get somthing new. Also of course I want to stick with polaris because the dealer is really close to me.

huh? so the scramblers sports and trailblazers not to mention most other sport quads are prone to failure due to the straight axel and sprocket/chain combo? thats a first for me
we ride with a guy with a 6x6 ocasionally and it makes it everywhere we do and alot of places i wont even try , but when he gets stuck its really stuck. if i was going to use a machine just for work in a muddy or sandy conditions i must say thats a beast! nice dump box, good speed, proven drivetrain, and with a good winch... unstoppable and no wider that my sport 400
just my .02

Just in the brutal rocky and muddy conditions we have in Northern Ontario. I ride with a Kawasaki Lakota and a 500 Scrambler (See Pics) and both were towed out because of a thrown chain and more than once.
Out of the hundreds and hundreds of ATVs we see on the trails and in back of trucks and trailers I have never seen a sport ATV once, not a Raptor ,400ex or any other ,they just do not do well or go far in our terrain up here.
The dealers do not even have them displayed on the floor.
PS: My pics are in some "Being approved" mode currently by this site.

The only time I ever had a problem with my chain on my Scrambler was when I broke it. I am not saying it doesn't happen, because I ride with a few sport bikes that have had issues in the past. And I'm sure TLC, my terrain isn't too far off from yours. The main thing is that we all have fun.
As far as the 6X6, I worked for a landscape company that had one, and what a great work bike!!! I got it into a little mud, but nothing serious and I was impressed. But they sure don't turn too sharp LOL
