Default 2007 Sportsman 500 EFI Fuel Injection Issue

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: cooper2007

Has anyone had any issues when sitting at idle and opening the throttle wide open? My atv will sometimes cut off (and not very responsive)? The dealer said that is normal. I know someone who has a carburetor atv and he has no issues like this. I thought that an EFI system would be better. Any thoughts will be grateful.</end quote></div>

1st I would clean the air filter, 1 dusty trip is all it takes! Throw in a spark plug and then give it a try. The EFI on the 500 is very simple EFI, no sensors just a fuel map.
Yes the 500 will bog when cold it doesn't have much of a cold idle map.
