When you look on the website at the 08 800's, you can select the black. When you zoom up on it, it appears very shiny. On the 07 Stealths, how does the finish hold up? I am trying to decide between the painted finish or the Stealth black. My real preference would be the painted finish in black which is what "Stealth Black" appears to be on the web site, but I don't know for sure.

Okay as I seen one up close 08 500 though, I can say its the same as my 2007, you can shine them up, but its hard, once dust hits it, it goes back to flat quick. It has been holding up very well.
Personally, if I had the choice now I'd go with that new red they have, man its nice, and its clearcoated, not sure if mine is, don't think so as it doesn' have that kind of shine.

I had a hot/melting issue on my 07 PoPo 800, especially after bushhogging 2-4 mph melted lower right front of seat and where front plastic attaches to side panel and mounting tab for rear plastic above header. scary after seeing the lower part of seat melt which is about 2-3 inches below GAS TANK. I traded my 07 800 dlx for a 08 black (flat) 800 Ho.... and LOVE it so far.
ps: different heat shield and more heat reflective tape and CLOTH heat resistant!!!!!
