Default 08 800 Stealth Black

My dealer told me that the Camo and the Stealth Black were the two strongest
plastic color options. He said they are heat molded (what all that means?). I was
considering the new 08 Shiny/glossey Red it was quite a show bike. But after he
told me that the red if chipped or gouged would show white behind the red, I
reconsidered. So our Stealth Black is very durable all thru is my understanding.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I ordered the Stealth black 800 without actually seeing one and was starting to second guess myself based on the claims about how strong and scratch resistant the painted finish was. Either way, I can't wait to join the 800 club. I hope to see a substantial improvement over the 05 700. Thanks again guys.

the molded colors are better in that respect as thier injected w/ color as their formed causing them to be color all the way thru. so if you scratch it deeply its still going to be that color. they do dull out after awhile in places like where a passagers leg my rub. i used plastic coat polish (made for plastic) and it really works good on fine scratches and shines them up nice.
