Default Sportsman front end "CLICKING"

Well I had the quad out in the yard after work today and driving out of the garage I heard the dreadfull "CLICK"...From the front left tire(brake side)........I thought for sure that the rubber boot was damaged!!

Back to the garage I went.......Jacked up the quad took the front wheel off.........Turned the hub assembly by hand.......And the click is from the brake pads in the calipier!!.......They don't look like there is very much pad on there even when new!!!.........But I posted this so you guys/girls don't jump the gun every time you hear a front clicking noise!!...........The hole in the brake pads for mounting has quite a bit of play in there!!!...............Caper...............

I also have heard the clicking, but not on the SP. It was on the Scrambler and when I pulled the wheel, I found a stone had wedged itself in between the pad and rotor and bent the pad. A new set of pads and just like new again

Brake Pads DO NOT last long if you ride the creeks!! Take care of your quads if you ride the creeks! Remember pay now or pay later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

actually the big thing about disc breaks when riding in the mud is they dont clean out good and wear them out so water riding is better for them then the gritty mud. the 450 wore break 2 as fast as my 800 w/ ebs breaks. big differnce in wear.
