Hit tree in back yard flew off the bike, choked it and turn it off. Arter i settled down took top off etc and found wire broke off switch and rust inside. My question is how do i remove this switch for repair or replace? There is a wing nut like thing inside is this how i remove it?

 

One other question. The wires going to the switch have power so when i but the two wires together should this not turn the bike off?
