I got my bike this August and rode it on hot days, never had a problem with it shutting off. Also, if you need help posting pics, email them to me and I'll host them for you. BTW, I just picked up a new ATV magazine off the rack at Walmart the other day, they did a test on the 500 Touring and nothing negative to say about it.

WELCOME to the forum buggyrunner!

I have owned many Sportsmans over the years and this new 2-up of mine has to be the very best one yet! Polaris changed the angle of the rear IRS which eliminates almost all the squat that used to plague the old SP's. It's just great to punch the throttle and not have the rear end drop 7 inches!

The turf mode is fantastic and very easy on my new lawn.

4-Wheel EBS is one safe feature while desending a steep hill while riding 2-up.

I added the rear work lights (a $20 upgrade that used to be standard).

With a 500 engine with EFI and a SIX GALLON fuel tank, you can take her just about anywhere......and back! LOL!

I love mine and you will love yours to! Just go for it!

.....and remember the interest free loan until Jan '09 PLUS free 2-yr warranty offered right now by Polaris. It's a smart time to buy one.

Good luck and keep us informed!

~MT

Hi all....new to this forum. I'm glad I came across this post. We are picking up an '08 500 Touring next week in Parker, AZ. Being it's a new model (Touring) it's hard to find experienced info about it. Sounds like it's going to be a great quad.

You all have a great day,
Bruce

I bought an X2 800 a couple of months ago and the ride is fantastic. I have ridden on the back and don't find it bad, but I have not been far on the rear. I am currently trying to sort out how to install my snow blade mount to the blade. Polaris is no help at all.

I have the deluxe, limited edition and it has automotive paint. Don't know about the touring models. Isn't it pretty amazing that if you go to enough different dealers, you either find out that they don't know a whole lot about them either or they lie a lot. Some now know their stuff and are honest, but others tell you anything.
