Hello all. I am new to this forum and new to ATV's as well. I just purchased a Polaris Ranger LE. It's still at the dealer's getting some accessories installed like a metal cab and heater. I look forward to learning from y'all's experience here on this forum. I live smack dab in the middle of 3 trailheads of the Hatfield-McCoy Trails in southern West Virginia. I plan on going to Lowe's Monday and buying a 6 x 10 foot trailer with a wooden floor to haul the Ranger on. As a first question I will ask those who are familiar with that trailer if it's a good choice to haul the Ranger on. Thanks in advance.

well cathead77 it depend's on how far you plan to haul it , you would want at least 14" to 15" size Tires and wheels if you plan on going across country with it ; i have one that's about 8' x12' foot that has 13" inch tire's and wheel's and i don't like to haul my 2006 Arctic Cat 400 FIS Auto 4x4 over 50 to 75 mile's from home with the small tire's and wheel's !
I had a nice 8'x10' foot trailer that had 15" inch tires and wheel's , and with it i would haul it as far as i thought my 87' Chevy S10 Tahoe Longbed Pick/up would go ; but someone stole my trailer and with this one with the small 13" tire's and wheel's i don't like to haul it over 50 mile's from home !
Well cathead77 i wish i could ride ride those trail's you're talking about , i've heard alot about the Hatfield - McCoy Trails
but i've never been there before !
Good luck to you and your new ride , and get us a video are some photo's of trail system ; one of the forum members took some photo once but it would be nice to have some video or even more photo's ! Be Carefull Out There and have a ball ! ........

Thanks for the input, folks. I think the one I'm looking at has 14 inch tires, and I won't be hauling it over 50 to 75 miles at the most. Like I said, I have 3 Hatfield-McCoy trailheads within 25 miles of my house and hundreds of miles of winding backroads in the hills and hollers right in my back door. I am a picture buff, so I will certainly have some pictures to post when I finally get going. Can't wait to get that ride home and in the mountains. Thanks again for the welcome and replies.
