yeah ive been doing deep snow with my polaris and yamaha for years other than overheating from lack of cooling theres nothing to worry about. my garage is insolated and attached to the house so it stays above freezing. I like to let all that snow melt off regularly you can do a lot with a scraper/broom you would keep in your car for snow. Even though its so cold out snow blocking wind flow can warm you up quicker than one might think. mine are also air cooled so the snow can block the wind to the engine fins much quicker than it will block a radiator

I've ridden one polaris on the ice before, and under acceleration the bars jerk back and forth violently, then if you let off the gas, only the rear wheels engine brake so you slide out. No other 4x4 I have driven does this at all.
I know there are a lot of are diehard polaris fans out there, and I like everything else about them, but this alone will keep me from buying one. I wish someone would come up with an overide so you could select full time 4wd when needed.

I never have a problem here in Canada.....An that includes ice-fishing!!..........How fast are you trying to go under that hard acceleration??............Also when on the lake........Is speed really important?.........Not to me .........But the fish are !!!!!.......................
Note:
I don't have EBS or ADC on my 2006 Sp 450's either!!...............I also heard the engine braking can put you in a un-controlled slide on the ice if your not expecting it!!!.....(after letting off the throttle).............Caper...........
