Just seized up my crank on my 350 and wondering if it is hard to change OR should i just sell the damn thing for parts....... any ideas would be great.

 

you talkin bout the side bearing on the crank or lower rod bearing. the side brgs are pretty easy to change out. if its the lower rod bearing, i would buy a kit from kirk, evil bay or somewhere and take it to a good engine shop that can press the new kit in and true up the crank....

 

I'm not sure which one it is yet, I just took the head and jug off to find that the piston was fine. Is there a way to tell which one it is before I start tearing things a part???

 

sometimes if you can rock the crank back and forth (turning motion clock wise and counter clockwise) and the piston dosent move right away the lower connecting rod bearing is bad....

 

It doesn't move at all....

 

try moving the connecting rod. If that moves and the crank does not, it is the crank berrings.
