QUICK .... IS THIS A GOOD DEAL ????
Found a similar situation on local craiglist about 3 weeks ago when I was looking for an ATV....
"Hello there,
I am ready to sell the Honda, it is still available. Thanks for contacting me about 2004 Honda Rincon 650, the price is $2300. First of all please tell me where you are located so I would know if I have to make delivery arrangements. This Honda has (Mileage 458, transmission automatic, 650cc, color yellow). It had no accidents and is well maintained.
Thank you
Sean Surcombe"
So I emailed back wanting to come look at it...thinking it was local (Chicago Land Craigslist) and got this.......
"Hello,
I'm in California. The way I see it we can do this 2 ways. You can come and take the atv or I can make delivery arrangements. If you want me to deliver it to you the transaction will be made trough ebay.I have taken this decision because it's safer for us.Ebay will put at our disposal an bank account for this transaction. They said they will need the buyer's full name and address so they can contact you.If you have any other questions please mail me back.
Thanks,
Sean Surcombe"
Needless to say I didn't go with this sweet deal

Wow!!!! Scam after scam out there on the net. That's why I'm a huge fan of buying local. I have never been one to drive 500 miles to save a few bucks. Local sales, local service, local support when you need it. It might cost a little more up front but it's worth it in my book. Besides it keeps the dollars in the communities that we work and play in.
People that will scam other people like this just flat out SUCK!!!

Sure sounds like the same scam if not the same if not even the same scammer. I found the listing I required about in the local Craigslist also. The listing was removed almost immediatly after I emailed the a$$.
It's an old story I guess, "Buyer Beware" !!
