THE problem with pluging a atv tire is they swell like a ballon.my plugs never held ,but tubes are only like 8.00 so i patched them and tubed them just to be safe..dont want a flat in the middle of nowhere..they were my STOCK carlise 489 tires, talk aboy JUNK!!..my zillas and itp 589"m/s are much thicker, but seems they weight as much as the wheeler..lol..lol..lol..lol..good luck hope i dont see ya on the trail with a flat and a plug hanging out!!</end quote></div>

I have never had that problem with a plug. Only time I have seen plugs be a problem is when someone uses the brown plugs or that stupid glue they send with them. I have a set of Super Swampers laying in back of my shop that one rear tire had over 8 plugs in one hole. Rode on them for a year before taking them of the machine. Use your tubes if you are comfortable with them, but I will stick to the plugs. The Zillas and 589's are great tires. I ran 589's on my old Kawi 300 and had really good luck with them. I run Big Horns now, and just don't even worry about flats anymore. Not that they can't get a flat, just has not happened yet.

I have the original stock tires on my 06-X2. I have a million plugs in them. DONT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT THEM! I too am ready for new tires. Here in the desert, everything either pokes you, bites you or poisons you! I am pretty sure that I am going to get the bighorns. One thing I know for sure, I am going to slime the hell out of them. Out here, everyone slimes!!!

In moderate mud they are pretty good. They are not very good for deep mud. In the hills they are great. Drop the psi and they are great rock crawlers. They are pretty heavy, but they are very rugged. I ride with a guy that had them on his Rincon with over 4000 miles on them. Took them and mounted them on his new Rincon.

That sounds like a lot I know. But I had about 1300 miles on the set on my BF when I traded it in. Looked like new as far as tread wear. They wear like iron. For trail riding, moderate mud and rock crawling they are hard to beat.
