More Polaris News
Sources inside Polaris tell us that the company is planning on releasing ever more new models in the not-too-distant future. The American ATV company has been very aggressive in building new machinery and although information on what new models they plan to build is still a bit sketchy, we have heard that an expansion of the highy successful RZR UTV line is planned. We can also look for new and improved sport quads and a revamped 4x4 lineup. Daryl Rath is back helping with development of their Outlaw sport quads and we expect a lot of good stuff to be headed our way from this Minnesota-base manufacturer.

I check some info from quadsports forum.
Rumor is polaris has designed a horizontal opposed twin for the 2009 sportsman. I know BMW used an opposed engine on the GS1150 and 1200 that was a remarkable engine. It's the smoothest of twins, but how does it's power stack up to the parallel and V twins? It is a very efficient engine so that should help with the gas guzzling big bores. What's everyones thoughts on this?

The Honda Gold Wing uses a horizontally opposed 6 cylender engine. I don't think I have ever heard any complaints from their owners.
Whats my wife going to say when I need another new ATV?</end quote></div>
thats my next bike. a couch w/ wheels. i heard from a friend who gets dealer news that artic cat and polaris werent doing very well so they need to do something to compete, i love my sportsman but its time to step up a couple notches for sure.

I agree with that sten. If you look at atv market, polaris is droppin and can-am is rising. Cat might have something with that new 950 and I got to believe that those mud racers in the south are going to love putting a 10" lift on that thing. Power to turn 35s"?
Living in Minnestoa I'm still a believer in Polaris. I'll give them another chance after my 800. Its been a great machine.
Looking forward to whats arond the corner.
