Default 2002 Sportsman 700 Plug wires

I have a 700 Sportsman and had an issue last week where it just died when I was plowing snow. I pushed it in the garage and checked for spark and had none. Let it cool down and checked again and did have weak spark. Has not started since. I checked continuity on my wires and had none on either one. I have not recieved my new wires yet. Curiously I cut the boot off the plug end to find the metal part that connects to the top of the plug was busted off, both wires were like this. It appears that there is a semiconducter in the boot that looks like a small fuse. Niether wire showed continuity. Stator tests good. What the hell
