Flywheel? Lose it or Lighten it
#1
I can see this being a stupid question but is the flywheel needed?
Does it balance the engine, does it work with the stator? I haven't pulled it off yet in my rebuild but I was installin the oil pump eliminator and starter eliminator and from what I see the flywheel is a waste of trottle responce. Are there magnets on it? I cannot see but if I should leave it then I will not pull it off since my stator seems to work fine so I would have no use to remove it unless I want to pick up power.

yes there are magnets inside your flywheel that spin around your stator causing a electrical magnetic field which helps your motor obtain spark and electrical current.
ritter cycle litens them up you may want to give him a ring.
obtw the flywheel is a must.

ok flywheel stays, thanks a lot.
I tried emailing Ritter but he didn't get back to me yet, I would like to get a spring kit and the piston and other thing I need for the rebuild off him.
