I have been looking and I still havent sealed a deal on a clutch yet.So now I have been looking at comet clutches. What do you guys think about those? I mostly do trail riding, would it be right for me or is it more for racing?

I would stick with the polaris clutch, go to your dealer they usually have some used older clutches around from when everyone wanted ebs clutches, maybe they will deal.Sounds like the taper is screwed up on your old clutch, did the crank end look ok?

you got to have a broken clutch where it bolts on or something as the crank should be harded steel or something from blocking it from going on all the way. its a basic taper set up and something is messed up it would tighten right up. i would look at both ends carefully before i bought a new clutch. unless the bolt(center clutch bolt) loosend up theres no way for the clutch to back off. imo.
