I have a 2000 sportsman 500 and it will roll at idle when I have it in low and reverse. I put a new belt on and it helped until it warmed up. Now it is still rolling. I noticed that if I center the belt will not roll but when I rev the engine up the belt moves back to the side and will roll again at idle. Anybody have this problem?

Could you have an engine to transmission alginment problem? There is something else in the clutch that wears out. I can't rember what exactly wears out. Someone will chime in and tell you what the problem is

 

I just shimed the trans pully and it is working fine. If it starts to creep again I will look into the clutch. I don't think that is the problem is worn out washers because the grooved pully does not move that much. Thanks for the help.

 

check to make sure the ebs bushing isnt bad in the primary.

 

The grooved pully rolls good, I meant that the side to side movement is not bad.
