Default Argh, my AWD is crapped out..

Well, I have had the 4x4 about a week and now this pops up. Its a 2003 Magnum 330. My AWD light is not lit and it is not engaging the 4x4 when the rear tires slip.
Any ideas? I took the AWD button apart and cleaned the connection, and still nothing.

does your machine have any fuses? Could be a blown fuse?

my sportsman did that once, when it got rained on a bunch. was fine when it dried out. you probably have a different problem though. it hardly ever turns out to be that simple...LOL

That's also the only time my xplorer AWD quit working...after a good powerwashing, once it dried out it was fine, dealer told me to keep the water away from the switch/handle bars. I do now, no more problems. But, like you said, probably not that simple. I know I'm not much help, but my story was to familiar to the above.

Is your battery healthy? My Cousin's 500 scrambler AWD light goes out and he looses his AWD when his battery dies down from plowing and using the winch alot. Put your Battery on a charger to see if you get your AWD back.

Well, i grabbed my tester. Seem's that there is no power getting to the AWD switch. Is there a fuse hidden somewhere that could be blown? I called the dealership and he also thought that it could be the transmission switch or something.

Me = not smart. I was testing wrong and there was power to the switch, BUT the little light is burnt out. Damn that thing is small!! Where can I find a little light to stick back there?
