As some of you know. I have a 01 scrammy 500HO. I keep hearing about this air box mod. Can someone explain to me what type of modification that is being done on the air box? I do know that it is supposed to deliver more air flow to the carb.

 

It is a big air snoot(you open up the complete lid and replace it) you change diaphram springs and you get a recalibrated needle and tube along with a bigger main jet you also get directions on opening up the air screw.It is a huge gain in HP and not that hard to instal

I got in touch with the guy at hpd. They don't make the air box mod anymore. Would anybody have a pic of one so I can get the idea?

 

Check out HSP or SpeedWerx... they have some air box mod stuff.. I like their lowboy valve for the air box. You can run it open for all out air flow or close it or them, to go play in the muddy,wet or really dusty conditions!!
