Default 96' Sportsman, no power to AWD switch or Neutral switch?

I decided to directly hook up power to the AWD switch from the red wire coming from the key switch. Then directly connect the two sets "coil/hub" wires to the switch so that when I push the switch in they recieve twelve volts, when I have the switch off they don't . Seems very simple and alleviates dealing with all the other circuits, either they have power or they don't!
