reverse overide button

Does the reverse overide button draw current when tie straped in and the key off? Its the only thing i did different and the battery was down. Or it could be all the plowing and winching and not driving it enough to charge back up. 07 800 sp

I have a 2002 400 Sportsman and have removed the reverse interrupter along with rewiring with an on/off switch for reverse. I have no battery problems and i use a electric lift, flasher & heated grips. I did change my battery to an AGM but its the same amps.
I would look into the wiring diagram and fix it so you have an on/off switch instead of the way you have it.

he cant just do away w/ the button as it scrolls thru the menu's in the speedo. your older 400 doesnt have that. im betting your winch killed the battery. put a switch in to bypass the button while in reverse like i did so you can switch back in forth and still be able to use the override scroll feature.

Thats basically what i am suggesting. Wire tying the switch on isn't good especially if it does more functions. Do the newer models use the reverse interrupter yet? I got a warning from the police because of the noise. Thats what got me digging into the change and its great now.
