Throttle Cable routed through Scrammy light bracket
While upgrading my 95 Scrammy lights from the one filament flood lights that the previous owner put on, to what it should have, with different lamps I am in the process of replacing the light bracket. Well, the previous owner routed the throttle cable through this light bracket. Anyway, I figure the best way to dettach the cable was to undo it on the handle bar end (by the AWD button). The only problem is two screws came right out, but the 3rd and last phillps head is stripped.
1. Is this the right way to dettach the throttle cable, and if yes, what does it look like inside. Is it similar to an emergency brake cable?
2. Time to call in the big guns, what do I do with the stripped + phillips head? (I tried to make it into a flathead with my bandsaw since I don't own a dremel, but that isn't going to work).
Please and Thanks.........

On my 2001 with oil injection bypass, the best way to pull the throttle cable is actually to disconnect it from the carb. Unscrew teh top of the carb, and disassemble the slide, jet needle, spring, and clip, and the cable should fall out. Then just pull the cable from teh frame.
However, on yours, you would also have to disconnect it from teh oil pump (assuming yours still has that installed).
If you take the top of the thumb throttle off, you should be able to easily pull it out of there. This is going from looking at my 2001 though; I believe yours has a metal thumb throttle housing on it.
I hope this helps some. It may be just rambling to you since I don't have the exact same machine.
