polaris just came out with a new ECM recall this week, instead of having few VIN numbers on the list, they have practically every ATV made from 04.5 - to 08, so check your dealers.

 

i didnt see all atv's on my letter i just got and only up to 06'.

Just checked the Polaris website, nothing new posted about the ECM recall. The latest one covers the following: "This recall involves select 2005 through 2006 model Polaris Sportsman and Scrambler 500 ATVs" Check the above thread for complete information on it.

I got my recall notice yesterday. So what'st the problem with the ECM? I know when I hooked in a temp gauge and fan control switch it did some weird things that kinda said the ECM was squirrely.

 

It covers more than just the 500 models.

Description: This recall involves select 2005 through 2006 model Polaris Sportsman and Scrambler 500 ATVs. The model and serial numbers are printed on a decal attached to the front side of the radiator (Sportsman) or the top of the front cab cover (Scrambler 500). Serial numbers are permanently stamped into the left frame rail behind the left front wheel. The recalled models are listed on the chart below.

I'm checking to see if the recall includes EFI models, my 2005 700 EFI Camo is in the shop now due to a bad ECM, Dealer is telling me My Serial is not on the list. Looking at spending over 500 to get it back.

 

The recall involves only carbureted models.

 

this the number from a 05 700 efi- 4011100 Regulator, Volt this is the number from a 06' 450- 4011110 Module, Controller. this one of ones there replacing so you can see its a differnt number. the new number is a- 4011568 Control, Module
