Default Hawkeye brakes

Hawkman this is what i have on my scrambler i just installed it last weekend. Its a split brake kit from Hot Seat Performance. The kit allows you to split the braking system by allowing u to use the left hand brake lever to control the front independantly from the rear and the right hand brake for the rear with an included master cylinder and lever. However I modified it a bit to fit my needs. I just rerouted the lines so my right hand controls the front and the left controls the rear brake. Just like my street bike or 400ex. just instead of a clutch i now have a rear brake kinda like a chopper with a suicide clutch. Its about $310 for the kit and its simple to install. Go to www.hotseatperformance.com then type in the search bar there "Split Brake Kit" or try this link http://www.hotseatperformance....duct_ID=2914&CATID=248

well, im just $15 and dont got that kinda money to spend. is there any way i could just remove the tube from the hand brake system to the rear brake and just somehow seal off the holes? would i be able to still use the rear foot brake?

i dont see why not. I haven't done it so i'm not sure. I think if you disconnect the brake line for the rear brake you can still use the floor brake since its connected by a rod from the floor brake lever.

i would think your parents wouldent want a 15 year old going out to there (even if they bought it for you) and messing with the break system... i know if i was looking to buy this quad off of you and saw this mess with the breaks i would laugh and offer you $20. just fix the problem the right way...

Maybe you'd be better off to decide which direction you want to do your donuts in, then disconnect the three brakes that won't help in this usefull endeavour. lol JK

Hawkman, brakes are the one area not to mess with. They're not an inconvienence, they're a necessity. Without them, you might smash into a log and bend the front end as you might remember.

LOL my parents let me mess with it. and the brake line was a front one broken and drained all the fluids, and my parents just bought me one and fluids and i fixed it. and yes, this is for me to do donuts, lol!!! i was just curious though, probably wont do it. my brakes are powerful enough by far though, i can go 45mph and stop so fast i almost fly over the handlebars.
