Just finished installing a switch like that, the earth goes to ground and you will have the light come on when the work lights are on...I wired my third wire to the cig/acc ground wire...

Okay...I was just looking a parts microfiches....Polaris makes an OEM SWITCH-WORKLIGHT,ON/OFF Part #4011074. This is from the 2007 International version of the sportsman. I am thinking that this would be the missing switch on the new sportsman. Am I right? The switch is made to fit in the headlight pod and I am sure it would be water proof. I am thinking about using this switch to get my work lights going.

What did you use to cut the headlight pod? A utility knife?

I got everything to work properly. To make the switch light up I just ran a wire to the ground on the cig/acces option
Thanks for everyones help on here
To cut the plastic I used an exacto hobby knife and a utility knife with brand new blades

Would you put the rocker switch where the choke goes on the EFI model, or would you want to put it on top of the pod ?

I am putting my switch on the Pod. Apparently there are cut outs for 4 switches on the back of it.
