Default Dynatek FS CDI box

Hey everybody, I was wondering if anybody had any experience with the Dynatek FS programmable CDI box. It says it comes with 4 curves. I was wondering if I need the programming kit to change from curve to curve or is that only to really fine tune those. Thanks for any help.

The CDI will come in with a little DIP switch package that plugs into an extra plug. You use it to switch between the 4 curves. The CDI can run if you unplug the DIP switch, but will run on CURVE 1 only. I have mine velcroed to the side of my engine for easy access. You can also wire in a second SPST handlebar switch to allow you to switch between curves 1 and 2, and use the DIP switch for the other curves.

The software is not needed for switching between curves and they can be switch on the fly. The software is needed if you want to add or modify any curves/settings in the curves. On top of ignition advance mapping, you can control two RPM activated relay controls, adjust the RPM rev limit, and set the staging RPM rev limit.

I'm happy with mine and would puchase again.

One more question, do you know how many more RPMs this CDI will give you? I know that the vortex goes up to 1500 and i was wondering if this one is close. Thanks.
