I would like to know what year the first 800 efi came out?
And what years riders have preferred over others like maybe certain years were better than others?

I think the first 800 came out in 05....Not 100% sure though...

Have owners found that certain years are better than others say from 05 to 08?

I don't know if there was anything major done to it between '05 and '06, but ADC was introduced in '07 I think. And the '08 800 has more power, and nicer paint.

yea 05' is when they came out and had most of the melting isues i do beleave. i had an 06' and now an 08' 800 and imo the 08' is the best for performance and heat sheilding. of course i only have 170 miles on it.

The reason for asking is because I have seen some threads on here regarding issues with the 08/800 and it makes me wonder if I did the right thing by buying one this year?
