Ryde FX on 2007 Outlaw
I purchased the 2007 Outlaw 525 in April 2007. I am 45 years old and my riding experience is limited. I originaly purchased a KTM 450 MXC motorcyle so I could ride with my son but got tired of falling off of it. Lots of fun when its dry but I get too tense when its slippery. So I bought the Outlaw. I can keep up with my 17 year old now. My question is has anybody had any problems with the shocks. I have developed a leak on the right front shock. The dealer will not warranty it or even work with me on a replacment or rebuild. I know the machine only has a 6 month warranty but being high end after market shocks you would think they would hold up. As I said I just ride, no racing or exrtreme air. Are the shocks junk? Should I replace the set with a different brand? If so what brand? Does anybody know if they can be rebuilt? If so can you recomend somebody?
I love the machine but not very happy with the dealer response or Polaris.

As you have probably found out shocks for ATV's are extremely expensive. Good shocks for the Outlaw 525 are running $2000 Plus. I had my Ryde FX shocks revalved/resprung by Wilson racing. This was not cheap though, but they are now custom shocks built for my specific style of riding and weight. But I bet he could do a simple rebuild on your shocks for a decent price. If you are interested PM me and I will send you his number.
