I will be picking up 2 SPMN 500 EFI's on Saturday. I have talked to a lot of people, mostly off this board. I looked into it through my car and house insurance carrier and it is only about $400/year for the two.
Most told me to carry it at least until the machines are paid for. Since I am paying for them from the begining, I have to decide whether or not to carry the insurance. I have decided to carry it. $400/ year is nothing compared to the cost of repairs for the machine or humans in the event of an accindent.
The trailer in tow will fall under my vehicle insurance.
End the end, it is just worth it for me to have it.

I carried it more for theft than any accidents. None of the wrecks I had cost me more than the deductible, so I never claimed them. But if they were stolen, well that's a whole lot more money to cover.

I left out the theft aspect, thanks for reminding me that that is another reason to have it.
