I am hearing rumors of a future 700 scrambler. Does any polaris fan have knowledge of this future event. It would be good to know so funds could be saved for future purchase....

"What does a 700 scrambler sound like??"

Honestly, slickrock, a 700 Scrambler sounds like a fantasy to me.

While I, too, would welcome a new quad (like the Kawasaki Prairie 650) on the scene, as with "Sasquatch," I find no credible evidence of the existence a Polaris 700; oh yes: 700 TWIN!

One Forum poster boldly disclosed 50 (count 'em! 50!) Polaris 700's had been hand-assembled on the factory floor, but . . . An unusual number of prototypes, given Kawasaki only has FIVE Prairie 650's, and one of them is a cutaway.

While I hope all the crazy dreams of Polaris 650's come true; for now, I consider them merely dreams.

i dont think that it is imaginary, there has been some very strong evidence that polaris has a Sp700 coming soon and it will be followed by a all new sportquad with the 700.

theres too many people that have told what there dealers has said to think its not true.Polaris will surprise us with the sp700 just like they did with the scrambler X and mag RMK.
Polaris HAS to build the sp700 to compete with the kaiwe650.
the new sport machine will be Polaris's first REAL sport machine

That 50 count was me... And it was 50 700 SP's NOT SCRAMBLERS. The 50 are HAND-BUILT, not auto-assembled, BECAUSE the auto assembly wasn't totally completed. Does that mean they were all PROTOTYPES? Sleds weren't selling great, so they hand assembled the newest Polaris Project. I hope you got a kick out of my posts... I will have the last laugh though... FAR as the all-new Sport-model...I ain't talkin' while I'm mad....LOL Ride'em hard Polcat

It means that polaris will put a rev limiter on the top ends just like yamaha did with the raptor. If you've been reading these posts you'd know the raptor is peaking at 7700 in 4th, and 7250 in 5th instead of the 9000 rpm so widely advertised. Dont get me wrong the 660 cc's still makes a huge difference in the low and mid but if companies dont limit these things they open themselves up to law suits. Imagine how fast a raptor would go without it?

If they use current design it sounds like a big heavy lump that will go fast on a long smooth straight stretch. It will be excellent to hone your skills replacing A-arm parts if raced in the woods. If such a machine is made alot of the Polaris faithful will dutifuly buy this machine then talk it up to be THE GREATEST EVER. These people will be completely unable to see this quad for what it is.

My sincere hope is that it will have a more conventional front suspension, weigh less than 450 lbs. full of all fluids including gasoline and have ergonomics more like current sport quads and less like a horse. (This means it can have an auto tranny as long as my above expectations are met.)

No I do not hate Polaris, I just see so much potential and am constantly disappointed.

98 Polaris Scrambler 400 4x4 highly modded for woods racing.
86 TRX250R currently being modded for woods racing.

i think we should give this Polcat guy more credit. he has told us about the sp400 and sp500HO before they were released by Polaris. He must have a good connection with the Roseau plant to know all this information.

Polcat,is the main assembly line ready to handle full production of the sp700 yet?? and do u know how the sp700 will differ from the sp500HO other than the motor and Price??, hope it has the new viscoLoc front end that is on the new Mag RMK

I checked the Polaris website and saw nothing then realizing who had written to me I now know it must be something new.

Tell me more. I would love to buy a new Polaris if they build something worthy of my cash.

New frame design? Lightweight? Better ergonomics? Powerful yet more simple engine than Raptor? Manual clutch with 6 speed tranny? Footpegs? Double a-arm front suspension?

Any info on a release date or maybe release of OFFICIAL INFO from Polaris?

You have me excited now. I need more info!

Paul
