I recently purchased a 2008 500ho carb model and would like to know what type of tires will fit on the stock rims with out any mods?I ride on mostly dirt trails with very little mud but with some rocks and will be in the snow. Thanks for any info! I would like to get some new rims to someday but that will be on hold for awhile.

Any time you go more than one size bigger it changes your gear ratio a lot. If you go bigger you might need a bigfoot type of clutch kit. And if you do, you may as well go even bigger and get a lift kit too. So far the tallest tires are 32x10x14 Gorilla Silverbacks. http://www.gorilla-axle.com/in...p?act=viewCat&catId=25 Nobody in the forums ever mentions that you might be spending money on more than just tires. Has anyone here ever had a problem with stock tires? It seems like everyone just wants to buy new tires without trying the stock tires out. I bought one set of mud tires and they were the best in the world at the time, but it was a complete waste of money.

I forgot to mention that my buddy now has three sets of wheels and tires but only uses one set. He can't even fit down some of the tight trails with his Mud Lites. I think they're two inches wider than stock with another inch or two of offset on the wheels. It makes his quad 4-6 inches wider and it won't fit between the trees he used to sail through.
