in my area a company has come around to alot of property owners and asked them if they were willing to provide a 5 acre section of land to develope windmills... they were offering a $1200 incentive up front and something like $1200 a year for the use of the land...
now you have to figure that the will also need an access easement and that would probably include a 50' r.o.w. for the new roadway constructed to the 5 acre site... alot of people were all for it until we realized that all the power was going to be sent to NYC... we would not see any of this power... why wouldent we use this energy our self...
i believe each area, community, county, state should become more self sufficient but not at the expence of "hill billys" c'mon we are developing our country into a state of emergency... the money (cash currency) is going to other countries (easter civilizations) because we (our government) can not pay the bills... WTF

how did we become the victome of 1 million, multi-millionares

thanks moose... i feel better now, after you got me all fired up jk... but for real

Oil prices will drop once we start making moves to open up offshore drilling. Last thing our 'friends' in foreign places want to see is our country becoming self-sustaining.

It's only a matter of time folks, there is plenty of oil in the ground to last a long time.

all i know is come this winter between the high gas price and the high heating oil its going to be real tough on alot of people. food isnt getting very cheap either. i sometimes think these damn politicians we have who make "mucco" bucks(that we pay for) dont give a damn about the people who live in this great country. ok enough of that stuf and we'll kepp on the post on the gas prices. thanks.

Oil was shown on Bloomburg's site to have gone down $4.00+/bbl, yet gas went up to $4.19/gal. here in Indy. We need to tell the enviro ****'s to go to hell start drilling here AND do something about the speculators that are the real driving force behind the price of oil. Just my .02 worth.

Today I filled up my Toyota Tundra (used to pull my Polaris ATV quads) it took $83 to fill it up. OUCH! I looked and the price was $4.02 or something
like that. I don't know I may have to trade this thing in and get a 6Cyl. But then again I lose money on that too.

That's pretty cheap Rtickwad. My dads F-150 takes in about 150$ easily lol. It has a pretty big tank though.
My Honda Prelude costs me about 70$ to fill up with 91 octane.
Watcha gonna do.
