Measured them tonight and im about 55" wide from outside to outside of the rear tires. Its definitely not a nimble little tree hopper. More like a snarling wildabeast crashing through a china shop. But then again, why drive through it when you can drive over it. LOL.



I have a question while this thread is going. Is there an adjustment i can make to change the camber on my front tires? Since i got the larger tires there is a noticeable lean to them. Ive added a few accessories to the front and am not sure if i need beefier front springs or just a camber adjustment. You can see in the head on pic how noticeable it is.

I think the only solution you will find for / \ wheels to be more like | | is a stiffer spring to raise it up the 1 1/2" of play the sportsmans have at the top... The stock springs are definatly geared for a comfort ride instead of extra clearence etc.

Go to your profile page and type something like...

like jumbofrank says - go to your profile page, at the bottom is a block for signature. In that block type whatever you want to appear at the bottom of each of your post. If you want to use bold type, expressions, links, etc. click on symbols under the signature block.

Pictures are a little trickier. The way I do it is to set up an account at photobucket. Once you upload your pics there, it will give you four "links" under each picture you upload. You want to click on the bottom one (IMG Code) and it will copy the link to your picture. Once copied go to your post and right click and paste the link into you post. Note that you you should resize your pics to a maximum of 800 pixels wide. You can reduce the size when uploading to photobucket using the pulldown menu "Reduce to:".

 

I was wondering about the pics myself. I think you can just put them on your profile page and tell people to click on the camera icon when you post. Of course that's not the same as having them in your post but it sounds simpler. Oh, I see you already did that J. Nice pics.

 

McFly, How does the 500 handle the 27" tires power wise? Did you put a clutch kit in? I have a 2007 500 Deluxe and can't decide whether I should put 26 or 27" swamplites on it. I plan on flipping the tie rods and going with 9" wide in the front and 12" wide on the rear.

 

I have Motorsport M4's with 27" Swamlites on my sportsman 800, and I wouldn't have anything else. The swamplites are in my opinion, the best overall tire on the market today. The only other tire that has sparked my attention are the new grim reapers from GBC. Weight might be the only factor, as they are classed as a 8 ply tire.
