How to replace rear pinion oil seal?
well i filled my rear gearcase up with fluid the other day and put the bike back in the garage. now i noticed a puddle of gear oil under the rear of the bike. it appears to be leaking around the pinion seal (i think it is called) where the rear driveshaft enters the rear gearcase. i noticed not much came out when i drain the gearcase before filling it back with new fluid.
what do i need to do to take that apart? is there any special way it needs to come apart or can i simply drop the drive shaft and pull the shaft out of the gearcase and then just undo the 3 bolts and replace the seal? i am more wondering if i need to take apart the whole gearcase or not to replace this seal...
thanks guys
