Yep, I agree. Unfortunetly they cut the horns off the offending elk. No cows for him that year. We also saw people standing 10 yards on a very slight rise between their cars and a large boar (male) grizzly bear. We had seen a mother (sow) grizzly with two cubs down a 45 degree slope about 100 yards away. We took pictures with telephoto lenses. Of course, later we saw people letting their two year olds walk off the boardwalk by the geothermal features. And, at the Grand Canyon people routinely stood on loose gravel at the very edge of the canyon. I've always been fascinated by human stupidity. There is just no limit to the entertainment value.

Moose today!
Much easier to get close and personal with moose than deer. Moose are very responsive to call specially during the rut. That one riding behind the atv was less than 10 feet from me for what seemed an eternity until it turned side ways for a proper arrow shot.

A buddy I used to work with took the pics. I will send him an email to find out where and how close he was.
