Have any of you guys put aftermarket tires on the new 400? They come standard with 24" 489's. Can you go to 25's? Tx!

 

I think Stendori has larger ones on his wife's 400. He'll chime in during the morning hours I'm sure.

 

yes i put 25" swamp lites on douglas rattle snake rims on the wifes 400. you CAN NOT go any bigger w/out hitting the inside of the rear foot well. i had to actually cut off about 3/16" off to give a a little more clearance. heres a pic.

Tx a lot Stendori! Appreciate the reply! Those rims and tires look awesome!!! I better not show my wife......she will want them. lol! I can not wait for my set. I got the Nuke M6 rims from Motosport Alloys with the new, 27" Maxxis Zilla's. Should look good. When I get the new set I was hoping to swap my Polaris aluminum rims with some 25" tires onto the 400. Hope they will fit!!!

 

My old 89 Yamaha Big Bear 350 came stock with 25" tires I would think a 455cc would turn even larger 26" tires without working hard. I dont get this small 24" tires being put on 400cc + machines now like the 420 Rancher. Unless its just some kind of cost saving thing.

Smaller Suzuki King Quad/Eiger 376cc, Kawasaki Prairie 360 and 350 Grizzly all have 25" tires from the show room. I Use to put 24" tires on 250 2wd ATVs.
