Default Chasing Speedo Probs

99 500 Magnum 4x4 it has the electronic speedo, speedo lights up all numbers show but nothing moves, hrs/miles/trip all show but thats it-- can someone please give me the run down on diagnosing what part needs to be replaced. Thanks much

Probably the sensor at the right front wheel.

I was thinking that and looked on good ole ebay and quite a few other after market places and have yet to see one, what is it a high dollar dealer only item? is the sensor going a common prob.?

the only thing is that the hrs wouldnt not run off the wheel sensor.

Humm, the hrs show & are lit up but do not increase - all of the different functions are illuminated and showing but thats it they never increase/change at all---any ideas as to how you'd go about chasing down the problem?

It sounds like it has brain damage. Maybe unhooking the battery for a minute would re-boot it? Just a wild guess, but it can't make it any worse.

LOL, must of been reading your mind I just tried that this afternoon. I wonder if there is a way it can be "bench tested" before I shell out the 100-150 I'd like to know that it will fix the problem. Do you know if this is a common problem with these Polaris's?
