Default Rebuilding my 1986 250 polaris trail boss

I have a very simple question,

I have my driven pulley off, and in the manual it states that spring within the pulley can be increased or decreased depending on the type of riding and or spring age. the spec calls for 3b.

My question is now that I have all the covers off and the pulley off should I adjust or leave well enough alone. This ATV was more or less a basket case so I have no idea how it was performing when it was running.

more than likely, the spring is still set to factory spec, I would leave it and see where you are at, while it can be a pain in the @#$ it can alway's be adjusted later.
