I just got a 93 350L 4x4 from my ex-father inlaw. He has always had trouble with the plug fouling out. I can't get it to start. Has been stiiting for about a year. I have spark, new plug, fuel is flowing fine to the carb, did a compression test. Cranks over about 4 or 5 times and stops at 90. Pulled carb off blew it all out, when you crank it over carb will get wet inside.

you mean it only has 90 psi of compression? if so its time for a top end rebuild.

What is the compression supposed to be? I have a CLYMER Manual but it doesn't say. I Don't believe anything has ever been done to it since it was bought. Any suggestions on what brand to use for the top end job? Should I go ahead and replace the reeds while I'm at it? Could this have been while the plug kept fouling out or do I need to look at something else while I'm at this?

Comp should be very mininmum 100psi 120 is good.Go with a Wiesco piston and polaris gaskets.
AAnd yes low comp will cause plugs to foul.

Thanks for the info I appreciate it. Also I read one the other topics and they talked about Removing the oil tank and lines and just mixing your gas yourself. Any suggestions on wether this is a good idea or not. Guy said he burnt his top end up and now that he got rid of it and mixing it himself hasn't had any problems.

its rare to have a oil pump go bad so alot of us feel to leave it the way it is. much easier to have oil injection then to premix it yourself. imo.

Keep the injection.Just clean the mud out of the pump housing at times.
