Also engines broken in like this are far less likely to use oil.

Hey i have a 2007 Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI LE and have over 10.000km's on it and i did a compression test on the 2 cylinders and there at 180psi so to me the engine is good for along time

Our 2010 RZR 4 isn't doing as well as your 700.

With 3600 miles it been using 1/2 qt of oil every 50-60 miles and two days ago it finally fouled one of the plugs, runs pretty bad on one cyl.

I'm guessing it’s the ball joints that squeaks so bad you can't stand to drive it. A friends RZR 4 with under 3k miles has the same annoying squeak in the front end.

We've had both differential replaced and the rear diff was the first to go with less than 400 miles on it and we had to replace the clutch this spring.

I'm sure it won’t be long and the maint and repairs will have exceeded the original purchase price.

I sold it last year (July 2010) when i bought my 850XP and it was still running very strong and did NOT use oil. It had about 4200 miles on it. I had not rechecked the compression...
