Default battery holddown strap

Ijust replaced my battery on my 2007 sportsman 500x2.it had a sealed battery before, but the dealer replaced it with a battery with the caps.now the battery holddown just broke(LOOKS LIKE A SMALL BUNGEE CORD).seens like the holddown is to small for this type of battery.any ideas?

Default battery holddown strap

Howdy Doc.....I just took a peek at mine and it is a sealed battery with a two piece bracket, no bungee and very solid. Was the brackets on your X2 before you took it in for repair?... and why with the caps on the new battery.....I thought the sealed types were better.

They gave me a sealed battery because thats all they had in stock. maybe stap broke because the caps make the battery a little tallwer than the sealed battery and make the strap tighter.
