I AM SORRY! I didn't mean to offend anyone, I guess atv guys and gals are like Chevy vs Ford vs Dodge, crowd, I thought we were more grown up than that.
Yes there is a reason I came here, I USED to have Polaris Quads and bragged about them too......I got wise to their crappy engines, service at the dealer and EXPENSIVE parts.....I wish WE had a rip on ourselves forum too...
1. A 220 Bayou is NOT a kiddy quad, a 90cc is, yes the wheels were stuck on, so what? Other than new tires I haven't speant much money or time fixing it. It has been much more reliable than my old 2x4 Polaris', not as fast! but the 2 smokers had me buying pistons/rings, chains, and brakes all the time.
I had a 250 and a 350L, I think both were '92s, they were hand-me-downs from my dad, The 350L was fast, and on tar in low would go over backwards!, his 96? Sportsman 500 had so many engine problems and a million U-joints!
2. Air pressure, I do understand as I have tractor-pulled a few times.
3. Aren't the Polaris' heavier than everything else in its CC class, that means alot for pulling, Like a F250 vs Ranger.....Looking at it from a mechanical direction, the IRS would normally have the advantage, because of the suspension helping with the weight transfer. Must have been dumb luck, or their tires?
4. I came to laugh WITH you guys, not AT you, Get a GRIP! (I guess the 220 pulling my father-in-laws sportsman back to camp wasn't nice!) I am sorry.
Jumbofrank, I have \-/ on my 220, LOL, go ahead make fun of the 220, it won't win races, but for its size and class it is very strong.
PS I still buy Polaris Snowmobiles, and I am sure the newer Polaris ATVs are better. but I won't buy one...I won't insult anyone again, this is my last post here.

You might be a Polaris rider if...
... you have ever heard the phrase, "Try disconnecting the black wire from the speed limiter."
... your second speedometer costs more than your first car.
... you told your lawyer she could have the house, but you get the ATV.
