If its efi you probably fried the pump in the tank, you should be able to hear the pump when you turn the key on, if its not efi you should be able to remove air filter and get a spray bottle with gas and spray in the intake to get it running.

yeah,i know my 01 scram,it it runs outta gas,i have to spray carb cleaner to get it going,i might be able to without, but i cranked the hell outta the starter!! as far as pull start......forget about it! when the fuelpump completely empties it must be hard to fill back up....if i catch it dieing, shut it right off, turn the petcock to reserve it will start.............

Welcome to the forums Sreeve2591.
First thing to do is make sure you do have gas flowing into the carb. (if it's not EFI)
Second thing to remember is if this is a two stroke, too much carb cleaner (if you use that) can do more harm than good.
Since we don't know the model, it's all guess work as far as where to look at what.
If you can access the carb easily, unscrew the drain plug and see if any gas comes out. If it does, you might want to check the pump or the petcock valve. And check the fuel filter too. Sometimes, it's the simple things.
