weight on the front

tires with alot of traction

probably shorter than stock tires so you have more torque

i can tell you from experiance with my 700 if you put it into a serious bind you will break the stock axles and yokes. Mine is stock and a friend got it buried in damp sand/clay and when the wheels couldn't spin anymore...the axle got broke. Of course I had to pay for the fix. So I would save myself the trouble and get some gorilla axles. I however went back stock because i would rather break an axle that I can get for 150-250 on ebay than a rear end or transmission. But, if you plan on competing you might as well plan on breaking things.

I'd get the new Big Boss 6x6 with the 800EFI! Nothing short of a tracked vehicle would beat it!

I found that my 800 and my 500 stock with stock tires did exceptionally well.
Only item I would add might be a suspension lock, but they both squatted right down and pulled until the tires lost traction.
In my experience bigger tires means a better bite on the ground, hence ability to apply more torque.

in the above 500 class the next closest quad was 50 feet shorter.
In the 500 and below, my 500 only pulled 20 feet less than an AC 700 and outpulled everyone else by at least 40 feet.

Not sure what your pulling or what your riding (new to the site) but my stock 500 scrambler 4x4 can pull a 3000lbs boat with only a little trouble stopping, thats with stock everything.

Here is a previous thread on this subject. Might have some useful info.
Also towards the bottom are some videos I made there.

3000 lbs rolling load is different from a Pull.
The sled starts out as a rolling load and gradually gets harder to pull as there is a weight box that moves forward.
They told me the Sled weighed like 3,000 at the start and then gets like 6,000 plus.

My first pull the rear didn't squat as much. On the second pull out of the box the suspension squatted and they just pulled although a lot slower and not as far.
They had added weight to the front of the sled (more ground pressure) and put the box movement in a higher gear faster progression to the front of the sled.
