Dealer says new machine will be 2002
#1
Went to pick up my friends new Trail Boss today and I got to talking to the salesmen. He showed me pictures of the black scrambler and then took me back to see a tricked out Scrambler they were using as a demo. As we were talking he brought up the new machine Polaris is bringing out. He said the sales reps are saying it is definitely going to be a full on sport bike. They are supposed to have the frame all ready but not the engine. He said it will be in the 500-600cc range. He said as well that a big bore Sportsman is in the works but not until fall 2002 and it will probably be a twin cylinder motor. Take it with a grain of salt but he said at least a full year on new machine.

thanks for the info but i dont think hes all that accurate.
if polaris doesent release the sp700 untill the fall of 2002, thats 1.5 years away, and they will loose alot of market share to the kawie 650. in that time span yamaha could release a all new grizlly too, which would hurt sale even more.
if this polcat2 is right then there some sp700 alreay made, which means the release isnt too far away.
Polcat2 can u add anything to this????
