Is this common for an new 800

Default Is this common for an new 800

Thats what I thought, but I was under the impression that when submerged it would hold water.

even the new 400 is way hotter for the wife then the 450 was. i think you need to paint the pipes w/ real good heat paint before you would wrap them for sure.

That is why I said if it gets wet make sure you run the engine long enough to dry it out prior to storing the ATV. I guess it might be an issue if the ATV is stored out side in the elements and the wrap gets wet from rain. In that case though alot of components will probably rust. Exhaust, due to the heat, is always prone to rusting unless it is Aluminum or Stainless Steel. Speaking of which the exhaust on the new XP's looks like stainless. That would be sweet if it is! My ATV sleeps in the garage, which has a dehumidifier. One of the best things you can do,along with keeping the oil changed IMO is store the machine out of the elements.
