Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

When you start getting these totally modded out you loose some of the reliability factor. If you want a go fast quad go with the 400 2stroke.With these 500s a good exhaust, proper jetting and a clutch set up for your ridding style you will have a machine that is fun and will last you a very long time. The way mine is set up I have ridden it for 6 yrs and no problems other than typical wear parts.

2x4 is 523 lbs 4x4 is 571 lbs both dry weights.

2x4 is more tuneable, because you don't have to worry about gear ratios affecting front drive, you can run whatever gear ratio you want to. the set up I told you about earlier was last years setup. this year I switched to 12T front 34T rear, no where near as quick, but way to fast for twisties. I'm going 35 in the woods and I'm not even in the power yet, almost ate some trees last weekend, I don't like to use the brakes very much

So the 2x4 weighs close to 50 pounds less eh. Should be a better handling and accelerating quad then, perhaps I may look into one of these.

ftwflh, I want to keep reliability like you said. Thats why I was keeping away from the 400 2 stroke. I want just bolt on parts, and thats it. Thank you for all your help guys, its appreciated. Now to find a 2x4 500!!!!

I didn't know the Generals had any fans. [IMG][/IMG] It's nice to have a homie on the forum, but if you come into my hood wearing red I'll have to shoot you. [IMG][/IMG] West Side rulez. LOL</end quote></div>

Lol, yeah yeah, bad ownership of a franchise kills fanbase and loyalty. Good things to come in the future for team and city lets hope.

So where do you ride around here, anywhere besides the Mounds?????</end quote></div>

Nowhere around here. I went to The Mounds once 10 or 11 years ago and didn't care for it. I go to Bull Gap, the Meadows, Mio, and Huron trails most of the time because a few of my friends have property near Mio. I like Atlanta, Leota, and St. Helen trails too, and sometimes I just go to Gladwin for the day since it's closer. It takes me over an hour to get Gladwin but twice as long to get to Mio.

It's another trail on the west side of M-33 that connects to Bull Gap trail on the east side of M-33. You just watch for cars and cross the highway from one trail system to the other. One Meadows trailhead is in Luzerne. The Bull Gap trail goes all the way to South Branch and you can ride through town to get to the west end of the Huron trail. That goes almost into Oscoda. It's a 150-200 mile round trip between Luzerene and Oscoda, and there's another 100 miles that loop around on those three trails. You won't get bored soon in that part of the state.
