Default 2005 Polaris Sportsman 700 - seems to be slipping

I just purchased a used 2005 Polaris Sportsman 700 with EFI. I rides nice other than at initial take off. There seems to be a delay when I hit the throttle. I am not sure if it is a belt problem or if it needs a clutch alignment.

Any help would be appreciated.

THANKS

Thanks for your quick response.

It doesn't seem to be a engine problem. At Idle the RPMs are around 1300 and as soon as I hit the throttle they go to 3000 but it doesn't take off right away. The engine speed itself goes up smoothly without hesitation but it doesnt move. I am guessing it is a belt problem but can use any help.

Thanks again.

After speaking with the original owner, he seems to think it needs a new clutch kit and recommended Dalton Clutch. Any idea where I can get the best bang for my buck?

It is a Polaris Sportman 700 Twin.

Thanks
