If you have never used EPI u joints on your 98 or earlier Sportsman500 please dont! They will not make it through one ride I ride approximately 10 miles this week end on a brand new set of EPI u joints in the deep mud, and broke two of them! Any one know were you can get some stronger u joints for the Sportsman? Any help would be appreaciated.

Neapco 1-1275 and Neapco 1-1875. These are the OEM u joints and can be picked up at you local bearing supplier for about $15

I did not know EPI had joints.

You mean Erlandson Performance Inc?

Wonder if they were aftermarket or OEM Polaris?

They are selling aftermarket U-joints for about $30. I have used them also, and they did not last one weekend. If you compare the actual surface area of the needle bearings, you will see why the neapco is a superior product.
